They/Them
He/Him
Both of my parents are military, so that would make me a "Navy Brat". I’ve lived all over the country, but Belle Chasse, Louisiana is home for me.
I started taking pictures in the fall of 2021 simply to earn some art credits; but my teacher at the time, Ms. Reno, wasn't going for any of that. After a lot of encouragement she pushed me to produce the best work she felt I was capable of giving. Although it wasn't any good for real, it was the effort that mattered to her. Going forward I grew more of a liking to photography and started to put some pride in my work.
My photos mainly consits of portraits where I can capture the beauty in the human experience. I love to invoke emotions in my audience so people can relate to my work based on feelings and experiences that they may have encountered at some point. And then there are some street and landscape photos thrown in there.
Just Some Photos
"Black Excellence Through a Lens"
While the textbook definition of excellence is the "quality of being outstanding or extremely good", my interpretation of it is a little different. In this context, excellence can be displayed through an array qualities: beauty, success, and joy are all capable of being considered excellent. Presented to you are portraits full of different emotions and famous monuments in honor of important events in black history.
"Colorblind"
For this project I wanted to keep it simple with strictly black and white portraits. I have always had an appreciation for the effect that it brings to certain photos. Whether it be dramatic, nostalgic, saddening, or whatever, but a picture being in black and white always adds some emotion to it.
"Under The Influence"
This project came out of inspiration from the style of photographer, Ben Sasso, and how his images are notorious for being out of the ordinary with their slight motion blur. For some photos it creates an eerie vibe and for some photos it can make it seem as if the viewer is under the influence.
Smiles and Vibes
The idea for this project was unironically inspired by the famous Kirk Franklin song. Which got me thinking aout how how joyful I see to see other people smiling.

"Colorway”
These are my friends, gang, twin; whatever you want to call it. For this project we were walking around the campus, and just vibing in the studio. I know that black and white is more of my style, but I’m really proud of the way these photos turned out. I appreciate the spectrum of colors and how, depending on how you view it, they contribute to the overall aura of the photo.
